Swedavia’s traffic statistics for March 2025
During March, approximately 2.5 million travelers passed through Swedavia’s ten airports. This number marks a slight decrease compared to last year. To some extent, this slight decline is due to external factors, such as strikes and the temporary closure of Heathrow. International travel continues to show stability, while the downward trend in domestic travel continues. In April, investments in new destinations will also continue from Stockholm Arlanda Airport in connection with the summer traffic programme.

In April, Ryanair will launch a new route to Sarajevo from Arlanda and Animawings will start a new direct route to Bucharest from Arlanda. In April, Delta Airlines will also resume its seasonal service to New York from Arlanda.
In March, just under 2.5 million travelers passed through Swedavia's ten airports, which is 75 per cent of pre-pandemic levels in 2019. This is a slight decrease compared to 2024. International travel remains stable, while domestic travel decreased by a total of 4 per cent. Stockholm Arlanda Airport accounted for a total increase in travelers of four per cent compared to March 2024, with domestic travel accounting for an increase of almost 25 per cent, while international travel decreased marginally.
In total, just over 1.8 million travelers flew via Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweden's largest airport, which corresponds to 86 per cent of pre-pandemic levels. International travel remained at the same levels as in March 2024, with 1.4 million travelers, while domestic travel increased to over 361,000 passengers.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Sweden's second largest airport, served a total of just over 368,000 travelers in March, which is a slight decrease compared to March 2024. In March, overall traveler levels at Landvetter were 75 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
For Swedavia's other airports, traffic growth was mixed. Swedavia's northern airports accounted for the strongest growth in traffic compared to March 2024. Kiruna Airport increased by 15 per cent, while Umeå Airport and Luleå Airport increased by 10 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively.
The weakest trend compared to March 2024 continues to be seen at Bromma Stockholm Airport, due to the change in BRA's traffic and cooperation with SAS at Arlanda from the turn of the year.
