On the 1st of September 2003, the first ever flight with the airline Norwegian took place between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Oslo Gardermoen. Twenty years on, Norwegian has served almost 65 000 000 passengers flying to and from Arlanda Airport, making their well know red nosed planes a familiar sight in the skies above the airport.

- We are very happy to celebrate that it’s 20 years to the day since we started our operations in Sweden and at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, says Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian. I would like to thank all passengers, both past, present, and future, for flying with us. Sweden is one of our largest and most important markets and our goal is to continue to offer our Swedish customers an attractive route network of affordable flights to a wide range of destinations from leisure to business, says he.
