Fly non-stop to Madeira with SAS from Stockholm Arlanda
For winter/spring 2017/2018, SAS will launch a new direct route to Madeira from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The Portuguese island, which is popular with Swedes, has a pleasant climate year-round and offers wonderful nature. Departures to the capital, Funchal, will be on Saturdays between October 28 and April 28.
“We are pleased that we can expand Stockholm Arlanda’s offering with the new destination of Madeira. Some 20,000 charter passengers travel to this popular destination each year, and now they will have an opportunity to fly non-stop from Stockholm Arlanda. We see steadily growing interest in Portugal and welcome SAS’s investment in another Portuguese destination alongside its summer route to Lisbon,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of aviation business at Swedavia.
SAS will fly to and from the island of Madeira on Saturdays between October 28 and April 28. The plan is for the route to be served by SAS’s new Airbus A320neo, with SAS’s new cabin and 15-18% lower greenhouse gas emissions.
