Croatia has a lot more to offer than the well known summer destinations on the Adriatic coast. The capital of Zagreb is an exciting city with a lot to offer its visitors: good shopping, cafes, culture and arts, music, architecture and gastronomy. The unique blend of medieval towers, 1800-century palaces and outdoor markets make Zagreb the perfect city to explore. As Croatian Airline´s hub, Zagreb also offers great connectivity to the
popular summer destinations of Split, Dubrovnik, Pula and Zadar.
”In general the interest for Mediterranean countries has increased heavily among Swedish travelers. Zagreb is also a completely new direct route from Stockholm Arlanda and is also one of the top unserved destinations. We welcome Croatian Airline’s expansion atStockholm Arlanda, giving Swedes more opportunity to experience Croatia” says Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Business Director at Swedavia.
"We are glad that we can offer Swedish citizens options for travel to Zagreb and the Croatian part of the Mediterranean. The Swedish market has huge potential, and that is why we are offering a high-quality, attractive product, which is the fastest traffic connection to the south-eastern part of Europe. I believe that this fact, as well as the natural, cultural and historical beauty of Croatia will be an incentive for many people from Sweden to visit our country” says Krešimir Kučko, President and CEO of Croatia Airlines.
The direct service between Stockholm and Zagreb will be operated three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 19th May to mid-October 2017.
During this year's season, Croatia Airlines will directly connect Croatia to 39 destinations in 24 European countries and, in cooperation with its Star Alliance partners, with the entire world.
The Croatian national carrier's fleet consists of twelve aircraft: six Airbus jet aircraft- four A319s and two A320s, and six Dash 8 Q400 turboprop aircraft. In order to meet the increased needs for travel during the tourist season, two 100-seat CRJ aircraft have been hired.
