Makeupista is something for all makeup lovers, who can find inspiration and be the first to have the latest in makeup from Maybelline, L’Oréal and Essie in a unique shop concept that is making its world debut at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The specially developed makeup app Makeup Genius is being launched in the shop, along with Essie’s nail bar, where all visitors can have their nails done – all at no cost. Makeupista is a shop-in-a-shop in the airport’s Duty Free Store, and the concept is a collaboration between Dufry, which operates the tax- and duty-free shops at Swedavia’s airports, and L’Oréal CPD.

Makeupista is a meeting place for all makeup lovers who want to be inspired and get the latest tips, trends or customised makeup advice. A wide range of makeup products are on offer from Maybelline, l’Oréal and the nail brand Essie, which is also offering free manicures to all visitors. Makeupista is located in the Duty Free Store in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda.

“We are proud that Stockholm Arlanda has been chosen as the first airport in the world to launch this concept. Our passengers can now get advice from experts on site as well as an unusual range of products from brands that we know are very popular,” says Magnus Ros, Director of Commercial Services at Swedavia.

“We are really pleased to introduce the world’s first makeupista concept together with L’Oréal at Stockholm Arlanda. This is another step forward in our continuous drive to offer our customers a wide range of products and services in an innovative environment,” says Karl Walter, General Manager of Dufry in Sweden.

In the shop, a brand-new way of trying new looks and products is also presented using the specially developed app Makeup Genius, which is available on tablets located around the shop. The app is a virtual way to test makeup in a realistic manner. Customers upload a picture of their face, and then testing new looks on-the-go can be done quickly, which is an advantage if passengers have only a short time before their plane departs.
