A new Scandic hotel has opened
Right next to the terminal, a new hotel has emerged that is owned and operated by Scandic Hotels. With 223 rooms, a welcoming lobby, a restaurant, conference facilities and a gym and relaxation facilities, it is an important new meeting place at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The hotel opened in May 2021.
About the hotel
The new hotel offers 10,000 m2 of space over seven storeys with a total of 223 hotel rooms and 9 conference rooms with the possibility of handling up to 140 guests. The plan is to have the hotel property’s environmental performance certified according to the standards of the highly rated international BREEAM-SE certification scheme, with the goal being a Very Good rating.
The hotel was designed by WingÃ¥rdhs Arkitekter, and the facade is made up of discreet, abstract flags from across the world. The international theme recurs in the canopy roof at the entrance welcoming hotel guests and passengers. Â
The hotel opened in the spring 2021.
Part of Airport City Göteborg
Airport City Göteborg, which offers warehouse and logistics facilities, offices, hotels, retail premises and other workplaces, is being developed by Swedavia together with its partners immediately adjacent to Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Airport City Göteborg is being constructed in phases and is expected to be fully built in 2045.
