Passenger increase at Swedavia’s airports in November
In November, 3,300,000 passengers flew to or from one of Swedavia's ten airports in Sweden – a three per cent increase compared to November 2016. International traffic was up four per cent to 2,000,000 passengers. Domestic traffic was up one per cent compared to the same period last year to 1,260,000 passengers.
Some 2,000,000 passengers flew to or from Stockholm Arlanda Airport in November, a four per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, 1,560,000 were international passengers, a four per cent increase. Domestic traffic increased two per cent to 495,000 passengers.
Air traffic to and from Göteborg Landvetter Airport increased two per cent to 503,000 passengers in November. International passenger volume was up five per cent compared to last year – 370,000 passengers flew internationally to or from Göteborg Landvetter in November 2017.
Other passenger increases in November were noted, including at Åre Östersund Airport, where 46,000 people flew to or from the airport, a three per cent increase from November last year. Air traffic at Bromma Stockholm was also up three per cent, while traffic at both Malmö Airport and Umeå Airport was up two per cent compared to November 2016.
So far this year, 39,000,000 passengers have flown to or from Swedavia's airports, which is a seven per cent increase compared to January-November 2016. International passenger volume is up nine per cent while domestic passenger volume is up three per cent.
