Johan Bill to head Swedavia’s new Major Projects unit
Swedavia has hired Johan Bill to be the director of its new organisation called Major Projects.
In order to best carry out Swedavia's large-scale investments and ensure synergies and learning between the company's development programmes, during the autumn a new Implementation organisation was introduced. With the new organisation, which came into effect on January 1, 2018, Swedavia aims to enhance its ability to implement its strategic development programmes as they now creates the airports of the future.
"It is gratifying to be able to welcome Johan Bill to Swedavia and to the role of director of Major Projects. Mr Bill has both the knowledge and the experience that are needed in this area to take on the assignment," says Swedavia's president and CEO, Jonas Abrahamsson.
Johan Bill worked most recently at the Swedish Transport Administration and since 2014 has been in charge of its Major Projects operational area, which includes the authority's largest infrastructure projects. Johan Bill also has experience with the construction company Peab through the Stockholm urban development projects Arenastaden and Tele2 Arena and also served as regional manager at the construction company Skanska and as CEO of the technology consulting firm Bjerking AB.
Until Johan Bill assumes his new position, Joakim Kedbrant will continue as acting head of Major Projects. Joakim Kedbrant will also play an important role in ensuring a smooth handover to Johan Bill as he begins his work at Swedavia.
Johan Bill will assume the position by August 6, 2018 at the latest and be part of Swedavia's Group management team.
