From 1 September: EU decision affects liquid rules at the security checkpoint Terminal 5

2024-08-16, kl. 13:02

Due to temporarily changed EU rules, from 1 September 2024, only liquid containers of up to 100 ml are allowed in hand luggage at all European airports. Among Swedavia's airports, this will lead to a change in the security checkpoint in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

The changed rules do not affect other security checkpoints at Stockholm Arlanda, nor Swedavia's other nine airports. Here, the liquid limit of 100 ml continues to apply.

For the security checkpoint in Terminal 5, the liquid containers can remain in hand luggage, only the size will now be limited. Electronic equipment such as computers, tablets or mobile phones can also remain in the hand baggage at the security checkpoint in Terminal 5.

Rules can vary – pack correctly
Be aware of the rules that apply to the security checkpoint you are going to pass. These may vary during your trip; both within Sweden and abroad.
